What is Artificial Intelligence? Explain it in simple terms.
Model Answer
Sir/Ma'am,
Artificial Intelligence, or AI, refers to the ability of machines or computer
systems to perform tasks that normally require human intelligence. These tasks may include learning from data,
recognizing patterns, understanding language, making predictions, solving
problems and supporting decision-making.
For example, when a
navigation application predicts traffic, when a translation system converts one
language into another, or when a government system identifies unusual patterns
in data, AI may be involved.
I would broadly view
AI as a tool that can augment human capabilities rather than simply replace
human beings.
From an administrative
perspective, AI can improve efficiency, transparency and service delivery.
However, decisions involving fundamental rights, dignity, justice and public
accountability should continue to have meaningful human oversight.
Therefore, the
objective should be responsible and human-centric AI.

Q. Can AI think
like a human?
Answer:
Not in the complete human sense. AI can perform certain cognitive tasks
extremely well, but human consciousness, emotions, moral reasoning and
contextual understanding are fundamentally different.
